"Study: New city hall, police, fire stations" by: Mike Reddell

Two-story police and fire stations and city hall were proposed in an architectural study presented at a special city council meeting Thursday, Jan. 26.
Dewberry Architects Bay City Municipal Space Needs Study also proposed moving the existing Art League building off site and creating more parking spaces throughout the municipal block – plus extending the boundaries of nearby Liberty Park.
Dewberry Senior Project Manager James C. Healy, AIA, told council that his firm – based in Fairfax, Va. – visited with several city departments in compiling its lists of existing site and building issues as well as the master plan.
