"Bay City falls to Silsbee" by: Mike Reddell

   Bay City’s 2017 football season came to an end with a 52-21 loss to Silsbee in the area playoff round at Humble Friday night, Nov. 24.
   The Blackcats finished third in District 12-4A-1 with a 7-4, 3-3 record and a bi-district championship over Houston Yates.
   “Silsbee executed at a high level - we’ve got to get stronger and faster,” Blackcat Head Coach Lupe Florez said following the game.
   “I’m proud of the work my guys put in. 
   “I’m proud of our seniors.”
   Florez noted the number of Blackcats who will be returning next season.
   “On Monday, we’ll start on next year,” Florez said.
