Blackcats stand 12-7 on season after Sealy victory; Bay City begins district play Friday

   The Bay City Blackcats moved to 12-7 on the season after a 63-52 victory over Sealy last Friday, Jan. 5.
   Sophomore forward Marquis Edwards had a game-high 21 points.
   That tally was followed by sophomore forward R.J. Mitchell with 14 and sophomore guard Marcus Edwards with 12, including a pair of 3-pointers.
   Bay City lead 27-20 at half and extended the final-score margin to 11 points.
   The Blackcats’ next game was against Gonzales Tuesday, Jan. 9 - the score was too late for Sentinel press time.
   Bay City begins district play against Sweeny there Friday night, Jan. 12.
