Matagorda County Commissioners Court accepted on Monday a 90-acre Midfield property tract from the Tidehaven school district, for $10 and the stipulation the county use the space for a park or sports.
   That property has been used for some time as a playing field for little league sports like baseball and soccer, Precinct 4 Commissioner Bubba Frick told the court at Monday’s regular session.
   “We’ve got a backstop on it,” Frick said, adding the county already has been mowing the property that’s just north of the Midfield Volunteer Fire Department and near an existing county park.
