   Port Lavaca attorneys Ann Marie Odefey and Carly Wall were hired as the new city attorneys for the City of Bay City during a short special meeting Thursday, Oct. 4.
   Odefey and Wall, partners in a five-partner Port Lavaca law firm, Roberts, Roberts, Odefey, Witte & Wall.
   Odefy said she has “a large government practice,” representing City of Port Lavaca, CCISD, Calhoun County, the City of Point Comfort, Memorial Medical Center, Drainage Districts 8, 10 and 11, Calhoun County Water & Control District No. 1, and Refugio County Drainage District No. 1.
     A Port Lavaca native, she earned her degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin and her law degree from South Texas College of Law.
   She has 24 years in government practice.
   Wall grew outside of Philadelphia, Penn. She earned a criminal justice degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia and a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich.
   Wall has been with the Port Lavaca firm for eight years and had been in practice three years before that.
