"VVISD board approves guaranteed bond prices" by: Jessica Shepard

The basic layout of the new Van Vleck middle and high schools were unveiled at the special school board meeting Monday night.

   Van Vleck ISD trustees unanimously approved a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) of $49,200,042 for the new middle school, high school and high school agriculture building renovations portion of the 2017 bond project at a special meeting Monday night. 
   The GMP, also known as the not-to-exceed price, includes several “alternates” identified by PBK Architects as: 

  •     A middle school weight room
  •     An art and science courtyard
  •     Moving the high school tennis courts
  •     An energy-efficient air conditioning system by Aaon

   The GMP total came in at $1,271,425 under budget.
