Stuart Sliva

   EL PASO – Bay City native Stuart Sliva took over as Sun Bowl Association Board President on May 1 and is set to hold the position until April of 2020.
   Sliva has had a successful career in the automotive industry for over 25 years and is currently an executive representing the Ford brand with Fortune 200 company, Group 1 Automotive. 
   Sliva is a recipient of four straight Group 1 Chairman Awards, an eight-time President’s Award winner with Ford Motor Company.
   Sliva is the son of Joey and Nancy Sliva of Bay City.
   Sliva, a 1987 Bay City High School graduate, lettered in both baseball and swimming, and was active in FFA. Sliva remembers his Little League and Babe Ruth League experiences growing up and being coached by his father.
   He was recruited to play baseball in 1987-88 at Schreiner College (now University), where he earned an associate’s degree. “I got the chance to play a few more years and made lifelong friends.”
   Sliva later was on Schreiner’s board of trustees from 2008-2012.
