Day & Zimmerman recognizes new graduates

Day & Zimmermann, a strategic community partner with South Texas Project, recognized the first group of students to complete the MC3 Apprenticeship Readiness Course held by the Houston Gulf Coast Building Construction Trades Council in Bay City. These candidates will enter the registered construction union apprenticeships as iron workers, carpenters, insulators and pipefitters and be employed by Day and Zimmermann at South Texas Project during the Fall 2019 outage. This joint initiative, spearheaded by Day & Zimmermann, seeks to build a local union workforce in Bay City. These candidates completed a 120-hour course, held at Workforce Solutions, that explored the union trades and completed American Heart Association CPR/First aid and OSHA 10 certifications.
