After closing out a winless season and a 40-14 loss to longtime rival El Campo, Head Blackcat Coach Patrick Matthews said the coaches now will turn to evaluating the team – both coaches and players.
   “I thought it was a tough season, but I believed the kids were very resilient week in and week out,” Matthews said.
   The 100th consecutive meeting between Bay City and El Campo was played for the last time in Memorial Stadium. The game will be played in a new Memorial Stadium next year.
   Bay City looked impressive in the first half – holding a 14-13 lead at halftime – but fell hard in a third-quarter that began a downward spiral.
