Tidehaven quarterback Blake Garcia (7) looks for a receiver against Bloomington.

After defeating Bloomington in a regular-season finale last Friday, the Tidehaven Tigers will play the Johnson City Eagles in La Vernia in the first round of the UIL Division 3A-2 playoffs this Friday.
The Tigers (5-5, 4-2) had 461 yards of total offense in their 52-0 shutout of Bloomington.
Tidehaven’s passing game accounted for a lot of that – quarterback Blake Garcia was 15-23 for 337 yards and six TDs. Garcia also had a team-high 45 yards rushing on five carries.
Tiger wide receiver Mason Perales was Garcia’s main target, catching seven passes for 175 yards and two TDS.
