"Seminar aimed at helping those starting or improving small business" By Jessica Russell BCCDC Ex. Director

   Those who are interested in starting a small business, or how to improve their existing ones, can find out how at an upcoming seminar in Bay City on Wednesday, Feb. 26.  
   It will include a session on the preparation of business plans, which are necessary in obtaining financing and as a general road map to all businesses new or old.
   Other sessions explain cash management, record keeping, access to cash, organizational structure and insurance, marketing and social media use.
   It begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Bay City Civic Center and will conclude at 3:45 p.m.
   Advance registration is $40 and $50 at the door and is online through www.houstonscore.org under the Take A Workshop tab.  
   Lunch will be provided thanks to a sponsorship by Prosperity Bank.
   The event is also sponsored by Bay City Community Development Corporation, Bay City Chamber of Commerce and Matagorda County Economic Development Corporation, in a partnership with SCORE and SBDC.
