"Tourism Council OKs member terms" by: Jessica Shepard

The Bay City Tourism Council approved changes to board member service terms during a recent goal-setting and strategic review session.
Board member Shea Ingram suggested changing the term limits for service from three 2-year terms to two 3-year terms.
“That way we’ll have more time to get things done as a board,” she said.
“I feel like two years isn’t enough time to get settled in, learn your role on the board and make a difference. Plus, we need more time to recruit other members before our term is up.”
The board currently has vacant spots and room for more volunteers that participate in the arts community, hotel/motel industry, restaurant industry, major tourist attractions, eco-tourism and representatives from other county tourist destinations.
