"Council approves resolution for airport taxiway project" by: Jessica Shepard

City Council unanimously approved a resolution naming the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) as agent for the over $7 million Bay City Regional Airport Taxiway project during its regular meeting, May 12.
“Work has been going on a while to facilitate the taxiway project,” said Bay City Regional Airport Manager James Mason.
“Regardless of what happens, because of the condition of the asphalt of our taxiway, it has to be replaced.”
The resolution names TxDOT as the city’s agent for “the purposes of applying for, receiving and disbursing all funds for these improvements and for the administration of contracts necessary for the implementation of these improvements.”
