Leopard Head Coach Robert Blackmon explains new helmet design to trustees Monday night.

A draft plan for opening school Aug. 17 was outlined by Van Vleck Superintendent John O’Brien at the school board’s regular meeting Monday, May 18.
The reopening follows a “very basic plan across Texas,” the superintendent said.
The approach calls for two ends of a spectrum – from normal, face-to-face contact to the other end, online distance learning.
There would be a middle ground built into this spectrum that allows the district to make adjustments.
“If something happens, we would slide to another plan,” he explained.
“What we have (for the opening) is face to face. There will be something in place for those students uncomfortable with face to face.”
