Bay City Pharmacy opened its doors just in time for COVID-19 reaching our area in March.
The pharmacy is offering home delivery for prescriptions to customers within a 25-mile radius.
That includes the entirety of the Bay City limits!
Bay City Pharmacy is at 3217 Ave. F and is open Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Owner and operator Dr. Augusta Anosike has been a pharmacist for seven years and lives in Richmond with her husband and two children.
“In the Houston area, you notice a lot of independent pharmacies along with the big corporate chain stores and you don’t really have that here in Bay City,” she said.
“I’ve visited Bay City a few times and noticed that on the south side of town there aren’t any pharmacies available to residents who live there. It shocked me to see such a thing because there are independent pharmacies practically on every corner in the Houston area.”
Anosike said that COVID-19 has made it harder for customers to transfer their medications.
“But, we’re also providing them with a one-on-one consultation with customers during this time to help review their medications,” she added.
“During the consultations, we’ll review prescription and over-the-counter items, including vitamins or any other supplements the customer is taking.”
