Tiger standout running back Kylan Sardinea (5) had a team-high 140 yards rushing against Rogers in last Friday’s bi-district playoff.

   NAVASOTA - Despite leading for three quarters, Tidehaven fell to Rogers 41-34 in the bi-district playoff round of the 2020 state football championship.
   Both Tidehaven and Rogers held identical 6-5, 4-2 records after the contest.
   And with Tidehaven’s total yardage of 439 and Rogers’ offense totaling 447 yards, the game itself reflected how close these two teams were.
   Tidehaven ran for 351 yards, with 88 passing yards.
   Kylan Sardinea had a team high 140 yards rushing on 16 carries, followed by Jose Martinez with 15 carries for 100 yards and quarterback Logan Crow with 16 carries for 88 yards.
   Crow was 5 of 9 for 88 yards passing, with a touchdown and an interception.
