The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reported July was the highest month with 482 new cases.

Using DSHS data on Tuesday, Jan. 5, the Texas Tribune shows Matagorda County had 197 confirmed cases over the previous 14 days.
That breaks down to 5.36 cases per 1,000 residents.
