"MEHOP wants people to get accurate COVID-19 information" by: Mike Reddell

   It’s important the public is provided the most accurate information during a health care crisis. During the COVID pandemic the public needs to know where COVID testing and vaccines are available and when vaccines will be given, the CEO of MEHOP stressed recently.
   “A lot of folks are concerned and wanting to receive the vaccine,” remarked MEHOP’s Celeste Harrison.
   “MEHOP and all institutions who have been approved to provide the COVID vaccine are receiving calls from people who want the vaccine ASAP,” Harrison said.
   A few weeks ago, vaccine providers in Matagorda County set up waiting lists for the double-dose Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
   MEHOP temporarily shut down its waiting list that had grown to over 1,000 residents because the first shipment of vaccines to MEHOP had already been allocated, said Donna Huitt, MEHOP Marketing Director.
