Story resigns from Main Street position

   Bay City Main Street Program manager Shelly Story has resigned effective July 9.
   She is leaving to pursue other endeavors after serving in the position for three years.
   “It’s been a great three years. During the time I have been here I have watched our business owners fight their way through COVID and come out stronger than before the pandemic. 
   “I am proud to have been a part of such a dedicated group of people,” said Story.
   Story was a part of the county’s business retention team during the pandemic, keeping business informed of available grants and funds and helping to promote online sales.
   Story led the way for two successful Camofest events, raising funds to make improvements to the downtown historic district.
   Applications are being taken to fill the Main Street Program manager position. Resumes can be sent to with the subject line “Main Street Application – your name.”
