    This talented group of young men and women received college or dual credit scholarships from Shop With A Cop that started in 2013.   Each year we provide local kids with school supplies, we purchase toys for kids for Christmas, and for the last few years we offered a scholarship program.

   Bay City Community Development Corporation (BCCDC) board members unanimously approved tabling several items regarding the Matagorda Regional Aquatics & Recreation Center (MRARC) Project during their meeting last week.  All members were present for the March 20 regular meeting.

   City Council unanimously approved two Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) related to pursuing grant funding during their special-called meeting last Wednesday.  Council members Ben Flores and Bradley Westmoreland were the only absences.
