Work on BMX park underway

   Bay City Gas Company and the City of Bay City joined forces to create and build the City’s First BMX Bike Park at City Field, at 3212 Avenue E.   The track features include tabletops, camel backs, single, double and triple jumps, big jumps and skinnies.

   The Tigers traveled to Edna on Tuesday and won by the score of 12-2.    Taking the win on the mound was TJ Galvan.    Leading hitter with 3 hits was Connor Claxton, Kale Russell had 2, and with 1 each, were: Christian Rubio, Cliff Cash, Jachen Duran and TJ Galvan.

Van Vleck Lady Leps begin district defeating Hempstead

   The Lady Leopards softball team opened up district play with a 9-3 win over Hempstead.    Lakyn Matchett picked up the win with 13 strikeouts in 8 innings of work.

   The Tigers were 3-1 on the week.    On Tuesday we hosted Ganado and won 5-4.    Getting the start on the mound was TJ Galvan throwing 4 innings striking out 4, 2 hits and 2 unearned runs.   Camden Johnson came n relief giving up 2 runs, 1 earned on 4 hits.
