   Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar gave a brief overview of what he foresees coming from the 2025 legislative session during the Bay City Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture’s luncheon last week.  “We’re looking at somewhere around a $20 billion surplus in the next legislative session,” he said.

   In a separate Facebook post last week, Precinct 2 Commissioner Mike Estlinbaum noted that he and County Judge Bobby Seiferman “met with the USACE last week and they are not doing anything with the road.  “They made it clear once again that they don’t care about the road or anyone that needs it.

Bay City, TX– The City of Bay City announced Scotty Jones has officially been appointed by City Council as the City Manager for Bay City effective immediately. Jones was appointed as Interim City Manager on February 14, 2024 after the City’s separation with the former City Manager.
