   Tidehaven ISD Superintendent Dr. Patrick Talbert presented 18 checks as part of the “Teacher Incentive Allotment” recognition for district-wide teachers during the regular school board meeting Monday night.  All trustees were present for the meeting.

   Bay City Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture hosted new teachers from Holy Cross and Bay City and Van Vleck ISDs for breakfast last week.  Matagorda County Judge Bobby Seiferman noted that he was no stranger to the life of an educator.

   City Council discussed the proposed aquatics center during council’s budget workshop Aug. 6, and decided to hold off funding in fiscal 2025 and instead look at the center in subsequent years to determine the level of commitments the center has.
