"Council OKs Texas HOME participation" by: Jessica Shepard

   City Council approved a resolution outlining the city’s participation in the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Texas HOME Investment Partnerships Program during their meeting last week.  All council members were present for the Tuesday April 9 meeting.

Lots to do, see this weekend

   If you’re looking to take advantage of the spring weather this weekend, there are plenty of outdoors events and other opportunities to explore.  The Texas General Land Office’s annual spring Adopt-A-Beach cleanup will be Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. – noon up and down the Texas coast.

‘Going back to the beginning’

   Our world has turned out to be so complicated.   The irony in that statement is that the world is a canvas from which human beings create complexity from their own desire to be in control.  To suggest a desire to return to simpler times, is to blindly believe there were simpler times.
