   An estimated 50 people attended the official Texas Historical Marker Dedication ceremony Allenhurst Community & Cemetery and Allenhurst-Mt. Zion Cemetery Historic Texas Cemetery Saturday, April 6.

   Each April marks the new fiscal year for the Bay City Junior Service League, a community-driven organization devoted to giving back to the local community of Matagorda County.     This April, new officers were inducted:    President: Mrs. Whiteny Jones    Vice President: Mrs.
Holy Cross Catholic School After Easter, Holy Cross Catholic School staff and students went out near the prayer garden to resurrect the Alleluia, which was buried the day before Lent began. The hymn 'Alleluia' was then sung in remembrance of our Lord's Resurrection, and the service ended with a brief prayer.
