Bay City High School's Dungeeoneers One Act Play showcase participated in UIL District competition over the weekend and is headed to Area competition. Bay City's individual awards went to Ruby Aivles, Jacen Garcia, Anavie Bryant, Lucille Frick, Maria Rivera Rascon, Malachi Moore, and Cali Morales. Contributed photo

Those three category-based winners are from left Liam Moya, Emerson Morris, and Frida Galvan - who placed in Most Unique, Judge's Choice, and Best Cubscout Theme respectively.

TxDOT to replace FM 521 bridge over Tres Palacios

   The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began replacing the bridge and approaches on FM 521 over the Tres Palacios River Monday, March 18, with a projected completion in late Fall.   The project timeline is subject to weather conditions.
