BCPD brings Bike Patrol back into service

   After several years, the Bay City Police Department is officially bringing Bike Patrol back into service.

BCPD hosts 1st Junior Police Academy

   Bay City Police Department will host its first Junior Police Academy in late July, encompassing three days of learning and fun.     Due to a great response of receiving 45 applications, a second academy will be held the following week.

   Bay City Tourism Advisory Council members unanimously approved seven sponsorship applications at their meeting Monday afternoon.   Of those seven applications, three were for new applicants and four from prior applicants.

   Bay City Community Development Corporation (BCCDC) announced that Trump Burger diner planned to open by the end of July on Facebook Monday afternoon.   The restaurant is set to occupy 6500 Seventh Street – the left corner storefront at East Bay Plaza near Schulman’s MBG.

   Matagorda County Sheriff Rick DeLeon told Commissioners Court that donations were being sent to the Hill Country during the court’s public comment section Monday morning.
