Grants administrator provides list of county grant-funded projects

   EDITOR’S NOTE: Matagorda County Grants Administrator Crystal Morones was asked about some different local grant-fund projects.  Morones provided an overview of those projects in the report that follows.      Matagorda County received a total of $8,048,300 for Water and Sewer Improvements.

"Tidehaven to graduate 66" by: Jessica Shepard

   A total of 66 students will graduate from Tidehaven High School starting at 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Delvin Taska Memorial Stadium.  Valedictorian Addison Nesbitt and Salutatorian Juan Mireles will be recognized and give speeches addressing their fellow classmates and audience members.

Tenaris awards $196K in scholarships to Matagorda County students

   Tenaris has awarded 15 Matagorda County High School seniors with Roberto Rocca scholarships totaling $196,000, marking the 12th anniversary of this scholarship program in Texas.

"Matagorda County Youth Leadership celebrates graduates" by: Jessica Shepard

   Over 20 students in four countywide school districts were recognized as “2025 Youth Leadership Matagorda County” graduates last week.  The students received awards and graduation cords during the May 7 banquet.
