2025 MCFLA Home Economics Craft Show Highpoint Winners   Junior division: Keelie Holub, Meredith Jones, Lane McLeod, and Lyra Saha.   Intermediate division: Adyson Merck, Makenzie Hubbard, Ryleigh Siptak, and Lucy Weathers.

   The Matagorda County Fair & Livestock Association’s 81st Annual Matagorda County Fair kicks into gear this weekend.  General admission tickets are $10 per person or $25 for reserved seats.  Children ages five and under get in free.  Ticket Office hours are from noon-5:30 p.m.

   The Matagorda County Fair and Livestock Association’s Home Economics Food Show auction raised about $16,700 for local students, Saturday, March 1.  That number is a decrease of roughly $1,200 from last year’s $17,900.  The item that earned the highest bid was a pecan pie.
