   With the Sheriff’s Department facing a severe staffing shortage, Commissioners Court approved a policy allowing personnel to get overtime pay without working a minimum of 85.5 hours in a bi-weekly period at its meeting Monday, April 7.

BCHS track & field athletes advance to area

   The following BCHS Lady Cats and Blackcats qualified in last week’s district track meet and advanced to the area track meet Wednesday, April 9, at Memorial Stadium in Bay City.    Field Events and the 3200 will begin at 11 a.m. and running events will begin at 3:30 p.m.
