The Bay City ISD Bridges Cafe students will be cooking lunch for BCISD and the community on Friday, Sept. 16.
Food orders are due by Friday, Sept. 9, and include free delivery to any BCISD campus.
The $8 meal includes chicken spaghetti, garden salad with ranch dressing, garlic toast, and banana pudding.
Orders can be placed via Google Forms or by emailing mclegg@baycityisd.org.
“The BCISD Bridges Cafe offers great food for a great cause!” said Bridges Program Director Megan Clegg.
“Our program provides students with disabilities hands-on experience in the Food Service Industry with transferable employability skills to gain meaningful employment in our community.
The students learn the process of recipes, shopping, food safety, preparation and cooking, restaurant operations, money management, and inventory management.
“It is our goal to ensure that our students have specific employability skills as they transition into their adult life,” she added.
   “We appreciate your support!”
