LCRA awards $2,850 grant to Palacios museum

   A $2,850 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority will enable the City by the Sea Museum to replace a malfunctioning exterior side door, improving both security and environmental conditions for the museum’s displays and artifacts.

Police arrest 2 men for weapons, drug charges

   Two men were arrested and jailed on several charges, including weapons and drug complaints, after a May 5 traffic stop, Bay City police said.  Around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at, officers were told there was a wanted man riding around Bay City.  The suspect, Cardell D. Monroe Jr.

Police add evading arrest charge after man tries to escape

   A Bay City man, who tried to avoid custody, was caught and arrested on a warrant by Bay City police Tuesday, May 7.  Officer Keith Hatton was sent to the 2400 block of 7th street at about 8:30 a.m. May 7, in reference to suspicious persons.  Upon arrival, Hatton contacted two men.
