   The TIRZ 3 board got off on an awkward start May 14 – after being inactive since 2018 - when there weren’t enough members present for a quorum.  But former city councilman Bill Cornman was present and asked to join the three members present for the six-member panel.

"Van Vleck to graduate 78" by: Jessica Shepard

   A total of 78 seniors will graduate from Van Vleck High School starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Burl McKinney Stadium.  The stadium is predicted to be packed with graduates’ friends, family members, and peers.  Overall, the seniors earned an estimated $1,006,880 in scholarship funds.

"BCISD banquet recognizes employees" by: Jessica Shepard

   Bay City ISD recognized and celebrated its employees with its annual employee appreciation banquet on May 16.  Guests were treated to a catered meal and live music by the Bay City High School Jazz Band, along with a popcorn bar and several clowns providing live entertainment and balloon art.

   Bay City Police Officers once again teamed up with Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers for a special operation Tuesday, April 30.   Operation Semi Stop targeted commercial motor vehicles traveling through Bay City.
