DFW task force nabs suspect in Bay City murder

   A suspect in the murder of Lakienta Smith of Bay City was arrested by a Dallas-Fort Worth area task force April 4, Bay City police said.    Robby L. Williams, 45, of Bay City, is the suspect in the murder, police here said.

Unattended burn barrel ignites fire

   Bay City Police Department was sent to an ordinance violation, illegal burning at 2908 Pershing, at about 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 3. Prior to arrival, dispatch received additional calls indicating the fire had caught the back yard on fire and was growing in size.
