AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is opening TX-14 in Matagorda Bay to commercial and recreational oyster harvest beginning 12:01 a.m. Monday, March 9.  Based on samples recently collected by TPWD, TX-14 meets criteria for reopening.

Matagorda County Commissioners Court unanimously approved a resolution in honor on naming a portion of Texas 35 the “Congressman Greg Laughlin Highway” at the court’s regular meeting Monday morning.  A group of business leaders and past and present elected officials were present for the resolution.
