"YMCA offers classes in lifeguard certification" by: Jessica Shepard

   The YMCA of the Golden Crescent is offering $100 per-person Lifeguard Certification Classes in May.Classes will be available at various times Friday-Sunday, May 16-18, in Bay City and May 23-25 in Palacios.  Participants must be at least 15 years of age by the final day of testing.

   March sales tax rebates for Texas totaled $685,230,194, up 10.11% from March 2024, the Texas Comptroller’s Office reported.   The state’s total payments year to date were $2,318,556,125, up 6.22% from the same period last year.   Bay City’s March sales tax allocation was up 7.
