"Council OKs vote canvass, Aquatics loan" by: Mike Reddell

   City Council canvassed the Place 1 runoff election vote June 13 and approved a four-step process for a $14 million loan for the Aquatics Center at council’s June 18 special called meeting.  Cory McCray won the runoff election by a 217-159 vote margin over Stacy L. Rowh.

   Matagorda County AgriLife Extension Office’s annual “Row Crop Tour” drew about 30 attendees last Thursday.  Speaker topics ranged from weather and market forecasting to pesticide and herbicide licensing requirements.
