Sentinel Photo/Mike Reddell Commissioners Court approved a proclamation declaring Oct. 6-12, 2024, as National 4-H Week in Matagorda County at the court’s Oct. 7 meeting, and five young people in their green 4-H jackets were in attendance. They told the court of the many 4-H activities in Matagorda County for youngsters ranging in age from eight to 18. Those 4-H activities include raising cattle, food production, nutrition and community service.
