Bay City Animal Control Division hosts a “Free Microchip Clinic – Dogs Only” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Aug. 14-15, at the Animal Impound, 4611 Starling Dr.
All dogs must be on a secure leash.
Please double-check and tighten collars/harnesses for safety.
If you have a Boston terrier, Pug, English bulldog, or French bulldog, please DO NOT stand in line outside in the heat.
Notify a volunteer upon arrival and remain in your air-conditioned vehicle until it's your turn.

“This event is another step in our ongoing commitment to improving the safety and wellbeing of both our residents and their beloved pets,” Chief Christella Rodriguez said.
A microchip is one of the most effective ways to help reunite lost pets with their families. While collars and tags can become lost or damaged, a microchip provides a permanent form of identification that greatly increases the chances of a safe return home.
“This clinic is just one of several initiatives the Bay City Police Department and our Animal Control Division are implementing to better serve our community,” the chief added.
“We are continually exploring new programs and partnerships that promote responsible pet ownership, improve animal welfare, and provide valuable resources to our citizens.
“We encourage all pet owners to take advantage of this free opportunity to protect their furry family members.
“Together, we can help keep pets safe, reduce the number of stray animals, and strengthen the bond between our community and the animals we care for.
