From City of Bay City
The City of Bay City is launching the Municipal Brand Identification and Development Initiative, the City’s first comprehensive effort to develop a unified citywide brand that reflects the community’s identity, character, values, and vision for the future.
A city brand is more than a logo or visual design. It is the collective identity that helps communicate what makes a community unique and how it is experienced by the people who live, work, visit, and invest there.
Through this initiative, the City will work with residents, businesses, community stakeholders, City leadership, and department heads to help define what Bay City is and what Bay City represents.
“This is an opportunity for our community to help shape how Bay City is represented and recognized,” said City of Bay City Communications Manager Ray Beltran. “The people who live, work, own businesses, and invest in Bay City know this community best. Their experiences and perspectives are essential to creating a brand that authentically reflects who we are.”
Community input will play a central role throughout the branding process. Residents, businesses, and community stakeholders are invited to participate in two upcoming opportunities:
Take the Community Branding Survey
The City is asking the public to participate in a citywide branding survey and share their thoughts about Bay City’s identity, character, strengths, and future.
The survey is available through the City of Bay City’s Facebook page and in the “Public Input Opportunities” section of the Communications and Marketing Department’s webpage at BayCityTX.gov.
The survey will remain open through September 30, 2026.
Attend the Branding Public Workshop
The City will also host a Branding Public Workshop, providing an opportunity for community members to participate directly in the branding process and share their ideas about what makes Bay City unique.
