"Leopards exit playoffs with loss to Eagles" By John Hoffman

   The Van Vleck Leopards faced off against the Rogers Eagles in round one of the state playoffs for the second year in a row.        Unfortunately, the result was the same as Rogers dominated on both sides of the ball for a convincing 42-15 win.

"Tiger JV falls to Van Vleck" By Eddie Russell

   The JV Tigers closed out the season with a 28-7 loss to Van Vleck.     Scoring our lone td was Ashton Klaiber with a 10 yd run.      Paco Lara drilled the extra point.      The defense was led by Caiden Glaze, Donovan Austin and Mathew Riddick.      We finished with a 6-3-1 record on the season.

Van Vleck’s Emilee Schneider runs at XC state meet

   Van Vleck’s standout cross country runner Emilee Schneider competed at the XC state championship in Round Rock last week.     This was Emilee's 4th state meet.     She is the only Van Vleck runner to qualify to the state cross country meet all 4 years.

   Bay City failed to convert a long drive late in the game that put the Blackcats deep in Iowa Colony territory as the Pioneers edged Bay City 28-27 Friday night in Memorial Stadium.    The loss puts the Blackcats (6-3, 3-2) third in District 12-4A-1, while Iowa Colony (9-0, 5-0) remains No. 1.

    The Van Vleck Leopards were looking for the upset against the East Bernard Brahmas on Senior night, but the Brahmas balanced attack and costly turnovers were too much for Van Vleck in a 45-14 East Bernard win, Friday, Oct 27.

   Tidehaven extended its run of shutout this season with a 58-0 whipping of Danbury at the Tigers’ homecoming last Friday, Oct. 20.    The Tigers (7-0, 4-0) now have five shutouts this season as they tighten their grip on the District 14-3A-2 lead.
