Aquacats have first official meet in Galveston

   Aquacats had their first official meet recently in Galveston.  Girls 11-12 200 yard Medley Relay  The results were:  - Emily Scardami , Elizabeth Flores, Aaliyah St Denis, and Emery West 4:19.09  Boys 8 & Under 50 yard Freestyle  - Walker Griffith 56.72  - Marco Flores 58.

Van Vleck HS Band recognized for placement in contest

   The 23-24 Van Vleck HS Mighty Leopard Band was recently recognized for its placement in the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) Region 13 Outstanding Performance Series (OPS) Contest.   The OPS is an advancing competition for concert music.

Amateur Radio Field Day June 22-23 at LeTulle Park

   The Matagorda County Amateur Radio Club will set up in LeTulle Park and spend the weekend of June 22 and 23rd testing their skills and equipment by making contact with other radio operators across the US and Canada as part of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Field Day.
