Early voting began April 20th

    Early voting began Monday, April 20, for the five municipal, school board and Caney Creek MUD elections Saturday, May 2.  Bay City City Council positions 1 and 2 are up for election Saturday, May 2.

Pack 4545 led way at Palacios Adopt-A-Beach cleanup

   Sunshine, teamwork, and a strong sense of stewardship defined this year’s spring Adopt-A-Beach cleanup in Palacios, with a special spotlight on the leadership and service of the Bay City Cub Scouts Pack 4545.

Chevron Phillips Chemical donates $10,000 to WCJC Foundation toward scholarships at WCJC

   The Wharton County Junior College Foundation, in partnership with Wharton County Junior College, announced that Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. has donated $10,000 toward scholarships for the current academic year.

BCPD seeks help to identify parking lot robber

   Bay City Police Department seeks assistance from the public to identify a person that pushed a pregnant female and attempted to rob her.    The 29-year-old female was walking to her car on Monday, April 13, between the hours of 9 to 9:20 p.m., in the H.E.B. parking lot, at 2700 7th Street.

"esVolta CEO seeks local support for battery storage" by: Mike Reddell

   The CEO of esVolta Randolph Mann thanked local officials for their support of esVolta’s City Breeze battery storage project that will be located in the Bay City Industrial Park.  A luncheon marked the groundbreaking at Spread of the Oaks near Markham April 9.
