One killed in structure fire

   A 63-year-old Bay City man was killed in an Austin Street house fire Sunday morning, March 16, Fire Marshal Dan Shook said.  Bay City Volunteer Fire Department, Bay City Police Department, and the Bay City Fire Marshal were dispatched to the house fire at 1216 B Austin St. at about 07:40 a.m.

Matagorda County boater education course readies operators for safe adventures

 Boating enthusiasts gathered at the Rusty Hook Ranch to participate in a comprehensive, six-hour boater education course aimed at promoting safe and responsible operation on Texas waterways on March 13.
