   Over 75 entries were featured at the annual “Rice Dish Round-Up,” Oct. 15.   “We actually received 90 recipes for the contest, but about 79 showed up for judging,” said Matagorda County Extension Office 4-H Administrative Assistant Cynthia Page.

   Twenty-nine local high school seniors took to Bay City Junior High’s Keye Ingram Auditorium stage last Saturday to find out who would be crowned as the 2024-2025 Bay City Lions Club Rice Festival Queen.  Bay City High School senior Victoria Sliva was crowned Rice Festival Queen Oct. 12.
