"A time when breathing deep didn’t work on radio" by: Mike Reddell

I haven’t mentioned much before, but for a while I was a radio news guy.  I was news director for KERV AM in Kerrville.  It was a weird time in my life, I had taken a brief sojourn from newspapers to explore the world of public relations.

"Finding the oddball point where mosquitos and books intersect" by: Jessica Shepard

"Just at that point when you thought you had it figured out, things change" by: John Sample

Nothing like a dull week to get your attention.  We had record-setting highs on the averages and indexes and profit taking set in.  Analysts had all sorts of explanations for the how and why when it was just people making sure they captured a profit.

"The truth sets everyone free so stop being ‘scared’ of it" by: Jessica Shepard

When I say I’m tired of politics, I know it falls upon deaf ears.  It’s an unfortunate fact that almost everything has a shade of politics touching it and it seems that those locally elected fall short on their oaths of office.

"The second half of the year took off like a fireworks display" by: John Sample

We had two inflation reports last week.  One reported the Consumer Price Index, which came in lower than expected, and the Producer Price Index which came in higher than expected.  Most attention was placed on CPI and the need for the Federal Reserve to cut rates in September.
