The Van Vleck Leopards lost to Brazos by a score of 49-22 last Friday, and have shifted their plans for their next District-14-3A-2 game against Industrial there Friday, Oct. 10. Van Vleck quarterback Devin Barnes was 6 of 9 passing for 92 yards and a touchdown.

The No. 1-ranked Tidehaven Tigers boosted their season to 5-0 after an impressive 56-25 defeat over previously unbeaten Brazos there Friday, Sept. 26. Tiger senior quarterback Kale Russell paced Tidehaven with 110 yards rushing and a touchdown.

The Van Vleck Leopards lost a tough battle to the East Bernard Brahmas 42-0 last Friday game that was the first District 14-3A-2 contest for both schools. “The East Bernard game certainly didn’t go the way we wanted,” said Leopard Head Coach Shannon Permenter.

Bay City had a difficult time getting on track against the Sealy Tigers Friday night, losing 35-7 in a non-district matchup there. Despite a good rushing game from junior Keimarion Wiggins, who had 11 carries for 106 yards, the Blackcats had 265 total yards of offense to Sealy’s 380 yards.
