   Tidehaven Tigers defeated the Van Vleck Leopards 48-0 in their cross-county game last Friday night at Van Vleck.  Tiger senior quarterback Kale Russell was 23 of 28 passing for 424 yards and three touchdowns.    He also rushed for 37 yards.

   Bay City Blackcats began District 15-4A-1 play Friday by smashing Floresville 35-7 there, accented by explosive runs and pass play.

   Tidehaven and Van Vleck will square off in a long, cross-county rivalry game between the two District 14-3A-2 teams at Van Vleck Friday, Oct. 17.  The Tidehaven Tigers (6-0, 2-0) are coming off a bye week, while the Van Vleck Leopards (1-6, 0-3) fell to Industrial 27-19 last Friday.

   City Community Development Corporation (BCCDC) board members unanimously approved purchasing a new pool heater for the 16th Street Pool during their special-called meeting last week.   Jim Frankson was the only member absent on Friday, Sept. 26.

   Bay City routed the Brazosport Exporters 53-3 for a Homecoming win here last Friday that brings the Blackcats to 4-1 at the half-way point in the 2025 season.
