   The Tidehaven Junior High Tigers hosted Ganado last week and won 22-12.   Scoring for the Tigers were: n Zayde Villarreal, 6 yd td, catch from quarterback Jericho Talbert.    DJ Foster 42 yard td catch from Talbert.    Foster 30 yard td run.

"Tidehaven defeats outgunned Ganado 38-12" by: Mike Reddell

The Tidehaven Tigers emerged 4-0 after beating Ganado 38-12 in a non-district tilt last Friday, Sept. 19.Tidehaven (4-0) rolled up 456 total yards of offense, dominated by 328 yards in the air.By contrast, Ganado had 227 yards of offense, as the Tigers limited the Indians ground game to 57 yards.

8th grade Tiger football

   The 8th grade Tiger football team started the year with a 42-8 win over Hallettsville.    Leading the offense was QB Jericho Talbert and RB RJ Galvan.  Scoring for the Tigers:  RJ Galvan 2 Td runs 88,14 and also an 80-yard kickoff return touchdown.

   Bay City Blackcats prevailed in a wild game with Columbia, winning 28-20, that ended just as the Roughnecks scored their final touchdown at Memorial Stadium Friday, Sept. 12.

"Tigers’ balanced attack smothers Goliad 38-7" by: Mike Reddell

A   Tidehaven passed for 153 yards and rushed for 148 yards to lead the Tigers in walloping Hallettsville 35-7 in Friday’s homecoming game.    Senior quarterback Kale Russell passed for 153 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a 14-yard score.

"Woodlands Christian Academy roughs up Leopards" by: Mike Reddell

   Van Vleck found the going tough last Friday when the Leopards dropped a 43-7 decision to The Woodlands Christian Academy there in a non-district contest.   The Woodland Christian Academy boosted their record to 3-0, while Van Vleck fell to 0-3 in the young season.

   Blackcat Head Coach Robert Jones noted Bay City produced on all three phases of football to trounce the Edna Cowboys 42-14 there Friday night, Sept. 5.  “We dominated the game in all three phases from start to finish,” Jones said.
