   Van Vleck will be at home again Thursday for a scrimmage with cross-county opponent Palacios.    Head Coach Shannon Permenter discussed the Aug. 21 scrimmage with Palacios and last Friday’s scrimmage with Weimar.    “Scrimmage went well,” Permenter said of the Weimar scrimmage.

Blackcats to visit Wharton for 1st scrimmage Aug. 15

   Blackcat Head Coach Robert Jones discussed Saturday morning’s “Full Pads Activated” Aug. 9, after the first full week of two-a-days, and this week’s scrimmage with Wharton.  Jones said the Saturday workout “went well.

Leopards’ 1st week of workouts pleases Permenter; he expects tough scrimmage with Weimar

   Van Vleck Head Coach Shannon Permenter said he was pleased at the Leopards’ first week of two-a-days.  “The first week was really good - 73 kids, all getting after it,” Permenter said.     “They know the bar has been set high now and it’s expected.

Lucio thinks Shiner will be a good test for Tigers

   Tidehaven Head Coach David Lucio assessed the Tigers’ first week of workouts and the upcoming scrimmage with Shiner.  “Two-a-days have been a success to this point,” Lucio said.     “We had our first live action on Saturday (Aug. 9).

Aquacat swimmers make top ten standings

   Aquacats competed at the C.C.A.A. Champs meet on Saturday, June 28 at the Lamar ISD Natatorium against all 10 teams in the region.   Walker Griffith swept all 3 of his individual events coming in 1st place.  Catherine Powers placed 3rd in two events and 4th in 25 backstroke.
