AUSTIN — The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission approved statewide deer carcass disposal regulations during its May meeting in an effort to reduce the risk of transmission of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) across the state.

Bay City and Palacios both saw their June sales tax allocations increase over the same month last year. Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar sent cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for June, 6.8% more than in June 2023.
